Manufacturers and distributors of industrial batteries in Germany are required, according to § 15 (3) German battery law, to publish the recycling quota achieved for industrial used batteries from the previous year on their website by May 31 of each year.
Liable companies that are part of a battery EPR system for industrial batteries in Germany may additionally link to the homepage of the EPR return system on their website to inform that by participating in the battery take back system, the obligation to take back industrial batteries is fulfilled. Most battery EPR systems in Germany publish their recycling quotas achieved in the previous year on their websites. Usually the German battery take back systems take care of the necessary reporting and documentation requirements to the German Environmental Agency.
