The new WEEE and battery register fees will come into effect in August 2025, alongside the planned revision of the EU Battery law (BattVO). According to the German authority for WEEE/Batteries “Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register (EAR)”, the register fees will remain stable for the time being. Unlike in previous years, there will be no adjustments to the fee structure at the beginning of 2025.
However, 2025 will bring significant changes for companies, that are affected by WEEE and battery laws, particularly regarding registration and fee obligations. These changes will affect the German WEEE law ( ElektroG ) ) and the German battery law (BattG)
We will inform our clients on relevant changes. For any questions regarding EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) in Germany, feel free to contact the Go4Recycling team at any time.
