The packaging law in Italy has been amended and there are a few important changes. All companies that put packaging onto the Italian market have to show an alphanumeric code on their packaging. This code includes e.g. the coding of the material, the type of packaging etc.
Furthermore clear instructions for disposal must be added to all sales packaging for end consumers. The Italian consortium CONAI has published a guideline for this implementation.
There is a transition period until 31.12.2021.
