The Finnish Packaging law was amended at the end of 2021 and it has an impact on foreign companies without their own Finnish entity.
Foreign online shops without their own branch office that have a turnover of more than € 1 million per year are now also obliged to join a take-back system for packaging and to pay recycling fees based on the packaging they put on the market.
It is also possible now for foreign companies that deliver to Finnish resellers to register themselves voluntarily on behalf of their resellers.
