Apostille and mandate needed for foreign producers of electronical and electrical products (WEEE) in Portugal

After 2 years the Portuguese WEEE authority APA tightens the rules for foreign producers and their applications in Portugal in the field of WEEE.

From March 2019 on it is necessary for all EU-companies that do not have a Portuguese entity and Vat No. to send apostilled and notarized documents for WEEE registration issues to the national take back schemes and authorities. That covers on the one hand companies that are directly liable because of their direct selling to end consumers – and on the other hand companies that sell indirectly via Portuguese distributors and want to take over the WEEE obligations on behalf of them.

All Go4Recycling clients have been informed and all necessary steps have already been taken.
