Starting from July 1, producers/retailers have to include the waste management contribution as a separate line item on their customer’s invoice .
Because the waste management contribution is visible on the invoice, it simplifies the control of freeriding. This increases awareness about the waste management contribution and provides traceability in the chain for this legally required contribution that finances the collection and processing of discarded solar panels.
This visible waste management contribution system works throughout the entire chain: if your customer is an installation company, they can also shift the costs to the end customer (consumer or business) by including the waste management contribution as a separate line item on the invoice. There is one rate for everyone in the chain, ensuring a level playing field.
