The French take back scheme for ASL informed about new prices getting into force from 1st of July 2025 on and also points out the requirements and necessity to register and report non WEEE products falling under the ASL category.
As a reminder: The EPR (extended producer responsibility) obligations in France also cover non-WEEE products for sports and leisure including “muscular” – or better say “normal” bikes, bike spare parts and accessories, personal protective equipments such as helmets, diving masks, swimming googles and also other sports equipment like raquets, balls, windsurf/kyte boards, SUP etc.
Producers and sellers who offer such products on the French market should register with the national ASL take back scheme in France and report sales on a regular basis – comparable to the WEEE and battery procedure there.
The ASL take back scheme recently informed producers that the pricing which was initially set for 2025 will not get into force before 1st of July 2025. So 2024 pricing will remain valid for all sales done till 30/6/2025 – from 1st of July the new 2025 prices will have to be taken into account.
