Implementation of the EU Battery Regulation in Germany: Obligation to appoint an Authorized Representative for batteries

As already mentioned in our previous newsletters, the implementation of the new EU Battery Regulation (EU BattVO) in Germany through the BattDG requires companies without a registered office in Germany to appoint an authorized representative for their batteries.

An authorized representative supports foreign manufacturers in complying with national requirements and jointly takes over certain obligations, particularly regarding collection responsibilities and the fulfilment of information obligations.

For our customers, we have already arranged a suitable solution and are working with a reliable authorized representative partner.

We have prepared all relevant information and costs concerning the new authorized representative in Germany, as well as the currently updated information obligations from the EU BattVO, and made them available in our customer portal.

If you have any questions regarding the EU Battery Regulation feel free to contact the Go4Recycling team anytime.
