In Romania, national regulations within the framework of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) exist. Obligated companies must take responsibility for the collection and disposal of products such as electrical and electronic equipment, batteries, or packaging, and register with the relevant authorities and EPR systems.
As mentioned already in previous newsletters, foreign companies without a legal entity in Romania—according to our information—have to appoint a Fiscal Representative and/or Legal Tax Representative (different tax requirements) to register with the Romanian EPR authority. Without these representatives, the registration and reporting at the EPR authority is currently not possible.
We are happy to review your EPR obligations in Romania individually and clarify how we can support you. We cooperate with local partners who can also provide the service of a Legal and/or Fiscal Representative.
If you have any questions regarding EPR compliance in Romania feel free to contact the Go4Recycling Team anytime.
