Fire Safety Education in Primary Schools – Supported by Go4Recycling GmbH

In cooperation with the Cologne Fire Department and with the support of various sponsors, the KIM publishing group has released a coloring and activity book for primary school children.

We’re part of it!
Fire means warmth, light, and comfort – but it can also become a life-threatening, destructive danger! Children in particular are often fascinated by the flickering element of fire, but this fascination combined with a lack of awareness of the dangers can lead to accidents, injuries, or even worse.
How should one react when a fire breaks out? Answering this question in a way that is suitable for children is the goal of the Cologne Fire Department and the KIM publishing group, who have created an easy-to-understand coloring and activity book for boys and girls in primary school.
We believe: this is a great initiative!

That’s why we support this project
The informative content, educational tasks, and charming illustrations in the new fire safety book “Sicher mit Feuer und Flamme” (“Safe with Fire and Flame”) were developed in close collaboration with fire safety experts from fire departments. Whether completed at home or in the classroom, this book helps children better understand and internalize the fire safety knowledge and behavioral instructions taught by fire services.

Additional digital content – including videos and interactive learning checks – is available via cutting-edge augmented reality (AR) technology and a free app, making the workbook an engaging and immersive experience!

Another life-saving feature is the innovative “Kinderfinder” (child locator) sticker, which is distributed along with the book. In an emergency, this sticker on the child’s bedroom door helps rescue teams quickly locate children, who may be hiding in closets or under beds during dangerous situations.

Thanks to the support of many local businesses, the workbooks can be distributed free of charge to primary school children. It’s an initiative we’re proud to be part of.
